Residential aged care prudential review: records to check
ACQSC's October bulletin reports on its 2025–26 review of 35 residential providers. Three were fully compliant at review; 30 achieved compliance by the end and two were referred to the compliance team. These selected-provider findings are not a sector-wide failure rate or a new rule. This notice was source-checked on 2 November, not announced as new law that day.
What to check
- Have the responsible finance owner review governance documents and evidence of quarterly default and evaluated minimum liquidity amounts (MLA).
- Locate investment monitoring records, current disclosure letters and published General Purpose Financial Statements (GPFS).
- Review refund-interest software checks and manual quality assurance. Record an owner and follow-up in authorised systems; use the official report for the applicable requirements.
