NDIS Commission's new portal: what moves on 12 October 2026
The NDIS Commission says its new portal launches on 12 October 2026. Both portals will operate during the transition; provider obligations and standards do not change. From launch, start new behaviour support plans, incidents, re-registration applications, notifications, new or unscheduled audits, and worker-screening tasks in the new portal. Continue existing incident lodgements and submitted or draft re-registration applications in the old portal until resolved; monthly reporting for existing behaviour support plans also stays there. Draft behaviour support plans and draft new-registration applications left unsubmitted at launch will be removed and cannot be recovered. Submitted new-registration applications stay in the old portal. The Commission says active accounts transfer, but roles do not necessarily map one-to-one, and old-portal account changes after 1 October may not appear at launch. Check the current official access guidance rather than assuming PRODA is already unavailable.
Document and workflow checks
Turn the official change into reviewable actions
- Before 12 October, review any draft behaviour support plan or draft new-registration application in the existing portal; submit only if ready under the Commission's current instructions, and keep authorised internal evidence of the decision.
- Create a task-routing list for new work versus existing incidents, re-registration, and monthly reporting; keep record ownership and deadlines in the provider's approved systems.
- Check active users and their required roles against the Commission's launch checklist; after launch, administer access separately in each portal where required.
- Use the Commission's live portal access and which-portal pages for sign-in or task questions; do not treat an old announcement as proof that an access method has already stopped working.

Who owns the provider's old/new portal task-routing checklist and staff-role check before 12 October?
Usage boundary
This is a source-linked transition reminder, not a portal, registration, compliance or access decision. Do not enter participant, behaviour support, incident, application or staff-account details into CaresLink; use the Commission and the provider's authorised systems.
